The visiting Washington Nationals and some fans had a bit of a surprise during last night’s game: an infestation of bees cause the Marlins to close down a few sections of seats near the visitors’ dugout at Sun Life Stadium.
It’s a surprise there aren’t more issues with bees at ballparks: there usually are lots of nooks and crannies for a hive to be built, and there are plenty of spilled sweets to attract them.
By the time you read this the hive should be gone and the bees relocated.
