Another piece of unusual news from the baseball world: this weekend an errant driver wiped out the box-office building at Salem Memorial Stadium, home of the Salem Red Sox (High Class A; Carolina League).

The driver of a 1998 Toyota Avalon (yes, a Toyota) lost control in the ballpark parking lot and rammed into the box-office building. She must have been building up a pretty good head of steam: the car was almost totally inside the box-office building, which is separate from the ballpark.

The building was declared unusable.
