The first game at Target Field is in the books, with Louisiana Tech trouncing the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers, 9-1.
The action on the field was a secondary story, as the Minnesota Twins used the game as a way to stage a runthrough of Target Field operations before the beginning of the season. Next up: a weekend series against the St. Louis Cardinals. We'll see if the weather cooperates: the long-term forecast calls for warmer-than-normal temps (in the 70s starting tomorrow), but there's a chance of rain and thunderstorms by Friday.
