Eileen Kalas wants to renegotiate the contract with the Philadelphia Phillies for the use of Kalas' name on the ballpark restaurant, located in Ashburn Alley in the outfield area. The Phillies didn't pay a whole lot for the name — $1,000 annually, plus a small percentage of the restaurant revenues — and Kalas wants a lot more. The current deal expires at the end of the 2010 season.
The Phillies, of course, love the current deal: it's a pretty cheap arrangement for the broadcaster's name and likeness. They're not willing to renegotiate at this time, but we're guessing as the season progresses they'll be willing to chat with Eileen Kalas.
