Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim broadcaster Rory Markas has passed away.
The announcement was made this morning on the Angels-owned radio station, 830AM.
He was found dead in his home last night. The cause of death was not identified, but Markas had surgery for a blood clot in November 2008.
In addition to calling Angels games since 2002, Markas was a broadcaster of USC and L.A. Clippers basketball games, as well as Milwaukee Brewers and Vancouver Canadians games. He was 54.
