New Hampshire sets season attendance mark

With another standing-room-only crowd, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats set another season-attendance record.Tonight's crowd of 8,601 at Merchantsauto.com Stadium, a franchise record-tying 17th standing-room-only crowd of the season, allowed the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Class AA; Eastern League) to set an all-time single-season attendance record of 374,006 with two home dates still remaining.  This marks the sixth straight season the Fisher Cats have established a new attendance milestone, as they eclipsed their previous season record of 373,227, set in 2008.

"We are so thankful for the support of the best fans in baseball who made this possible by choosing to spend their time taking part in our brand of Double-A baseball entertainment," said Fisher Cats President Rick Brenner.  "It takes a lot of commitment on the part of our front office members, game day staff and, most of all, the guests and partners who visit this beautiful ballpark for this to happen."
