Notre Dame, Army eye Yankee Stadium for football

There's been talk of such a game for months, but it sounds like the Yankees and West Point officials are close to a final deal. The Yankees say they can make a football field work at the new ballpark, and there's no doubt there would be a sellout with both Notre Dame and Army in the mix. One of the big issues, actually, is whether this will be a one-shot effort or a multiyear deal, extending through 2013, which would be the 100th anniversary of the famous 1913 game, where Knute Rockne unveiled the forward pass — a game that changed the game and catapulted college football to a national sport.
