That’s good news both for Opening Day Partners, owners of the Crabs, and Charles County. Opening Day Partners paid $241,515 in profits to Charles County for 2008 events. The deal between Opening Day and the county calls for a revenue share of all revenues relating to the facility, including non-baseball events. In addition, Opening Day pays admission and amusement taxes.
All in all, the $241,515 represented 45 percent more than the $167,123 projected and guaranteed by Opening Day Partners.
