A committee made up of Lee County and Boston Red Sox officials, including Janet Marie Smith, are recommending Populous design the new Boston Red Sox spring-training facility.
The recommendation comes after interviews with the five finalists as selected by Lee County: 360 Architecture/BSSW Architects, DLR Group, Populous, Pendulum Studio and David M. Schwarz Architects and Ross-Harvard Jolly.
The recommendation, made a few hours ago, now goes to the full Lee County Commission for discussion and approval.
