The City of Winter Haven is suing the Cleveland Indians over unpaid bills relating to spring training at Chain of Lakes Park.
The city says the Tribe owes $107,454 in parking, concession, ticket and advertising revenues relating to spring training in 2004 and 2005. It’s also seeking attorneys’ fees and interest.
The Indians trained at Chain of Lakes Park between 1992 and 2007 before moving spring operations to the Phoenix area.
