The University of Arkansas is considering a bid for Ray Winder Field, the longtime home of the Arkansas Travelers (Class AA; Texas League).
The city put the ballpark out to bid earlier this fall in order to gauge interest in the facility, which opened in 1932. The ballpark could serve as home to the college baseball team. Another group is seeking to preserve the ballpark.
