A proposed Northwoods League ballpark for Waukesha’s Frame Park could be approved before the end of the year.
Chad Bauer’s quest for a new Waukesha (Wis.) ballpark for a summer-collegiate Northwoods League team could be finalized shortly, as two more approvals are all that’s needed before construction can start.
The proposal is for a $2 million ballpark in the Waukesha’s Frame Park. Bauer would finance construction of the 2,000-seat facility, which would be built around a four-story grandstand with seating, press box, restrooms, concessions and office space. The current plan calls for a height variance for the grandstand, as it’s now 7.5 feel taller than zoning regulations allow. The zoning appeals board is expected to give its blessings to the variance at tonight’s meeting.
