A proposed new ballpark for a summer-collegiate Northwoods League team in Waukesha, Wis. was approved last night by Common Council. On an 11-3 vote the council approved the $2 million facility, which will hold roughly 2,000 fans in Frame Park. The measure had already received initial staff approval, but the council finalized the deal. Owner Chad Bauer must spend at least $2 million on the new facility, and his annual rent is $25,000; the city will also receive a share of ticket revenues. That’s a pretty tough nut for a summer-collegiate team playing only 34 games.
