There is some personnel news in Kinston, as the Texas Rangers have hired Wade Howell to be the club’s general manager. Howell will oversee operations for the Rangers-owned team, which is set to begin play at Grainger Stadium next season as part of the shift of two High-A California League franchises to the Carolina League.
