The Nashville Sounds (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) and catering partner Centerplate have unveiled plans for Third and Home, a soon-to-open sports bar adjacent to First Horizon Park. The establishment, located at 919 3rd Ave N, is tentatively scheduled to open Wednesday, April 1.
Third and Home is located on the top floor of the building immediately east of First Horizon Park. Stationed on the south end of the building, Third and Home patrons will have the option to view a Nashville Sounds game from the nearly 1,500 square feet of patio space overlooking the ballpark.
“We’re excited to add the Third and Home venue as a unique destination that combines food and drink along with entertainment in the thriving Germantown neighborhood of Nashville,” said Frank Ward, owner of Third and Home. Ward also owns the Nashville Sounds Baseball Club. “The completion of Third and Home brings our vision of the ballpark and surrounding areas full circle.”
A year-round venue, Third and Home will be complete with a bar featuring a variety of local and regional beers on tap, in addition to popular liquors and wines. The second-floor bar will feature 28 65-inch televisions and three 260-inch screens for the ultimate viewing experience in Nashville for all sports and events.
The 3rd Street front entrance foyer to Third and Home will feature a massive wall picture of Sulphur Dell, continuing to pay homage to the historic ballpark that stood near the site from 1870-1963.
Weekly promotions, hours of operation and a full food and beverage menu prepared by Centerplate will be announced in late March.
