Rocky Mountain Vibes to Bury Time Capsule

Rocky Mountain Vibes

At the conclusion of their inaugural season next month, the Rocky Mountain Vibes (Rookie; Pioneer League) will bury a time capsule under center field at UCHealth Park. This ceremony is intended to be a celebration of the completion of this first chapter of the new era of Colorado Springs professional baseball.

To celebrate their inaugural season, the Vibes are seeking input as the front office and grounds crew prepare to bury a time capsule underneath the UCHealth Park field immediately following the last regular-season home game of the year on Saturday, September 7.

The Vibes request that fans and the entire Pikes Peak Regional community submit their ideas as to what items and symbols should be placed in this time capsule. Share your ideas with the Rocky Mountain Vibes staff and see if your idea gets placed into the time capsule after the Saturday, September 7 game.

The time capsule will be reopened on mascot Toasty’s 50th Birthday – Saturday, April 27th, 2069. Fans who have their ideas selected will receive free tickets to the September 7 game and will have the opportunity to be a part of the post-game time capsule burial ceremony.

Prior to the 2019 season, the Elmore Sports Group completed a series of franchise shifts that included the relocation of the Helena Brewers to Colorado Springs, where the franchise rebranded as the Vibes. They took the place of the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League), who relocated to San Antonio and assumed the San Antonio Missions name and branding, while the former Class AA Texas League Missions moved to Amarillo and rebranded as the Amarillo Sod Poodles.
