Building Overlooking SRP Park Opens

SRP Park Augusta GreenJackets 2018

North Augusta, SC’s Riverside Village development continues to take shape, as The Clubhouse–a building with apartments overlooking SRP Park-celebrated its grand opening Thursday.

Home of the Augusta GreenJackets (Low A; Sally League), SRP Park opened last spring as the anchor of the mixed-use Riverside Village development. A project undertaken by the city and investors–including Greenstone, the Atlanta-based investment firm that includes Chris Schoen, part of the GreenJackets ownership via Agon Sports & Entertainment–Riverside Village will feature several amenities surrounding the ballpark, including The Clubhouse.

Built just beyond the left field wall (it’s under construction in the photo above, taken last April), The Clubhouse features 32 residential units that all overlook SRP Park. In addition, the building’s fourth floor features 15,000 square feet of Class A office space. While marking another sign of progress for the Riverside Village development, the opening of The Clubhouse also shows how SRP Park is serving as the centerpiece of the project. More from The Augusta Chronicle:

“The ballpark is our No. 1 amenity, it’s something we’re super proud of,” said Amanda Dyches, community manager for The Clubhouse. “Every single unit has direct views of the ballpark, no matter where you’re at in the building.”

Stadium views and proximity to North Augusta’s rapidly growing riverfront development are the main selling point for the 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom units, whose monthly rents range from $1,800 to $2,700. Corner units with full views of the Savannah River command the highest premium, as do units on the fourth floor, which have balconies overlooking the stadium.

The Clubhouse is the second multifamily development to open at Riverside Village; the Ironwood apartment community just west of the new Crowne Plaza North Augusta hotel began leasing late last year.

There are still some components of Riverside Village planned for the future, including a 100,000-square-foot office building and 600-car parking garage just north of the ballpark. SRP Park debuted for the GreenJackets last April, and later won our 2018 Ballpark of the Year Award.
