The Staten Island Yankees will host the 2019 New York-Penn League All-Star Game, which will be played at Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George on Wednesday, August 21.
“We are excited to bring the New York-Penn League All-Star Game back to New York City and showcase everything great that Staten Island has to offer,” said Staten Island Yankees President Will Smith. “We look forward to working with our business and community partners to bring a first class event for our fans to Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George.”
This will be the second time that the New York-Penn League All-Star Game is hosted by the SI Yankees, as the club’s last turn at the game came back in 2010. The 2018 edition of the New York-Penn League All-Star Game took place at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, the home of the State College Spikes.
The announcement that the SI Yankees will host next summer’s All-Star Game was part of the team’s unveiling of its 2019 schedule. The SI Yankees’ home opener will be played on Saturday, June 15, when they host the Brooklyn Cyclones at Richmond County Bank Ballpark at St. George.
