Savannah Bananas Sell Out Season — Again

Savannah BananasFor the second consecutive year, the Savannah Bananas (summer collegiate; Coastal Plain League) have sold out the entire season at Grayson Stadium, including a USA Baseball game in July.

The announcement of the season sellout is the earliest this has been achieved in both team and Coastal Plain League history. Over 110,000 total tickets have been sold for the 27 games hosted at Grayson Stadium this summer. This includes the USA Baseball vs Japan game set for July 6.

“This has become bigger than we could ever imagine,” said Jared Orton, Bananas president. “Grayson Stadium is the place to be for everyone across the Coastal Empire. We couldn’t be more thankful to the Bananas fans who make this place what it is every single night.”

The Bananas offer unique All You Can Eat ticket membership plans, which are offered in a variety of packages to accommodate families, businesses, non-profits, churches, schools, little leagues, and other fans who want tickets to the best games. Individual game tickets went on sale a month earlier than in previous seasons, with sales beginning in early April. Thousands of fans signed up for the Bananas Priority List to receive early access.

The team hosted their 42nd consecutive sold-out crowd on Sunday and holds the CPL’s record for longest sellout streak. The streak will be at 58 straight games after the regular season ends on August 4. The Bananas continue to break nightly attendance records for the league, most recently with a crowd of 4,462 on Saturday, June 9th. They are also on pace to once again set a new record for overall attendance.

The Bananas are now looking ahead to 2019 and have already begun building wait lists for all types of tickets offered. 2019 Memberships and group tickets will become available to those on the waiting lists once the 2018 season has ended. Fans can sign up at thesavannahbananas.com/2019waitlist.
