Beginning with the 2018 season Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark will feature COOP Beer Garden, the result of a partnership between the Oklahoma City Dodgers (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) and COOP Ale Works. COOP Ale Works will also be available throughout the ballpark.
The COOP Beer Garden will occupy the space formally known as The Brickyard on the first base/right field concourse near Section 118. The space will be remodeled over the course of the 2018 season, featuring a new permanent bar, new furniture and seating options, an expansion of the area to extend to the exterior of the ballpark and a display featuring the history of COOP Ale Works and key milestones during its growth over the past nine years to become OKC’s premier craft brewer.
The COOP Beer Garden will feature four high point beers on tap, including one that will rotate seasonally, as well as packaged beer. The first four featured beers during the OKC Dodgers’ Opening Night on Tuesday, April 10 will be F5 IPA, Horny Toad Blonde, Native Amber Red IPA and Saturday Siren Dry-Hopped Pils.
COOP Ale Works’ Briefcase Brown, Negative Split and Spare Rib Pale Ale will also be sold in other areas of the ballpark.
“Partnering with the Dodgers is a tremendous step in our commitment to support our local community and enhance the family entertainment culture in Oklahoma City,” said Sean Mossman, COOP Ale Works Director of Sales and Marketing. “The COOP Beer Garden is a great way to showcase Oklahoma City’s premier craft beer brand, and our partnership with the Dodgers gives us a great opportunity to reach more fans than ever before.”
COOP Ale Works is a craft brewery founded in Oklahoma City in 2009. Since then, the brewery has grown to create a year-round lineup of nine canned beers, four canned seasonals and several limited releases throughout the year. COOP’s beers are distributed in six states: Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri. As an active member in the OKC community, COOP places emphasis on supporting healthy lifestyles, the arts and animal welfare.
“Community involvement is something we hold in high regard in our organization and that includes working with local businesses,” said OKC Dodgers President/General Manager Michael Byrnes. “Craft brewing has become a big part of today’s culture, and COOP Ale Works sets the standard for craft brewing in Oklahoma. We’re thrilled to now offer their great products to our fans at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.”
