CLEAR is adding three Major League Baseball ballparks to its professional sports portfolio for 2018, effectively bringing its biometric identity platform to more facilities.
The slate of ballparks added to the CLEAR network for the 2018 MLB season include SunTrust Park, home to the Atlanta Braves, Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, home to the Oakland Athletics, and Safeco Field, home to the Seattle Mariners. CLEAR’s platform is now used by 11 professional sports teams within MLB, the NBA and MLS to make live events safer while providing a frictionless and customized fan experience.
CLEAR’s one-time enrollment connects members to any touch point in the nationwide network of 35 sports stadiums and airports. Fans enjoy expedited entry into games by enrolling for free at any of CLEAR’s sports locations. CLEAR is also developing new biometric-powered stadium experiences, including ticketing and concessions, enabling fans at participating venues to enjoy a frictionless, personalized game day experience from security to their seat. Working with the State of Washington, CLEAR is paving the way for biometric age validation at WA-based venues this year, which can enable experiences such as frictionless alcohol sales and more. CLEAR will pursue expanding availability of this product to more states in the coming months.
“We are excited to partner with these innovative teams to add a layer of security and improve the fan experience at the ballpark,” said Caryn Seidman Becker, CEO of CLEAR. “We’re also thrilled with Washington’s support of our biometric age validation platform and look forward to partnering with teams across the state to remove friction from another part of the game-day experience.”
“The Atlanta Braves continually strive for excellence in fan experience and security, so this partnership with CLEAR is perfect for SunTrust Park and the Braves,” said Mike Plant, Atlanta Braves President, Development.
“Adding dedicated CLEAR Lanes at Safeco Field provides our guests with a quick, convenient way to get into the ballpark without compromising security,” said Trevor Gooby, Seattle Mariners Vice President of Ballpark Operations.
“We are excited to introduce CLEAR’s innovative platform to the Coliseum,” said A’s COO Chris Giles. “The quicker and easier access to the ballpark will enhance the fan experience, while maintaining our standards for safety and security.”
By transforming everything in your wallet into a single biometric ID, CLEAR enables members to verify their identities with just the tap of a finger or blink of an eye. The company’s ongoing expansion in sports builds on CLEAR’s success in delivering secure, frictionless customer experiences in major airports around the country. CLEAR is SAFETY Act certified as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
In addition to it new venues for 2018, CLEAR is also available at Comerica Park in Detroit, Coors Field in Denver, AmericanAirlines Arena and Marlins Park in Miami, AT&T Park in San Francisco and Citi Field and Yankee Stadium in New York.
