As a tribute to the hit Netflix series, the Montgomery Biscuits (Class AA; Southern League) will don Stranger Things-inspired jerseys in 2017. The uniform tops will be worn for Stranger Things Fright Night, a one-time promotion scheduled for July 7.
The jerseys, based off of Netflix’s hit original series, features a glimpse into the show’s parallel universe. The front of the jersey will feature the team name written in the iconic glowing text from the Stranger Things title sequence created by Imaginary Forces in Los Angeles. With a nighttime, wooded backdrop, the jersey also features the iconic grey flecks that populate the show’s signature look.
All jerseys worn that night will be made available for auction, both online and in-park. All proceeds generated from the auction will benefit local charities. The jerseys will be designed by OT Sports.
“This is just the second time the Biscuits will wear custom jerseys,” said Scott Trible, General Manager. “We are very excited to host a night to salute all pop culture horror including Stranger Things. From the custom jerseys on the field, to the themed entertainment throughout the game, this night will have something every fan can enjoy.”
In addition to the jersey auction, “Fright Night” will include plenty of tricks and treats for Biscuits fans. The Biscuits will be hosting a costume contest, have trick-or-treating stations throughout the ballpark complete with haunted house elements and have pop culture horror themed video and audio throughout the game.
