Good news from the South Bend Cubs (Low A; Midwest League), who set a season attendance record of 347,678 at Four Winds Field while also generating a record amount of Indiana state sales tax from concessions at the ballpark. (more…)
More great attendance news: The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (Class AAA; International League) once again eclipsed the 600,000 attendance mark during the 2015 season and remain Minor League Baseball‘s per game attendance leader since their debut season, with an all-time average of 9,009 fans per game. With the end of the Eastern League regular season and the attendance crown up for grabs, we have a winner: the Richmond Flying Squirrels, as today’s crowd of 5,751 gives the team a season total of 417,828 fans — some 818 more than the Reading Fightin Phils. (more…)
