Some MiLB personnel news to pass along: Bryan Meadows has been promoted to Stockton Ports (High A; California League) general manager after two seasons as assistant general manager.
7th Inning Stretch, LLC President Pat Filippone made the announcement.
“Bryan has earned the opportunity with his dedication to the organization and the vital role he plays in the front office,” said Filippone. “I am excited to continue working with him in his new position of general manager.”
Meadows will assume all day-to-day operations of the team including Ticket Sales, Corporate Sales, Marketing, Community Relations, and other areas for the Ports, while Filippone will continue to work locally with the Ports and their business partners, as well as nationwide as the President of the group’s other affiliated clubs, the Delmarva Shorebirds (Lo A; A; Sally League) and Everett AquaSox (short season A; Northwest League).
In April, Meadows will begin his 7th season in Minor League Baseball and 6th with the Stockton Ports. Meadows began his front office career with the Frisco RoughRiders (Class AA; Texas League) before joining Stockton in 2011. Over the last two years the Ports have seen growth in Season Tickets and Corporate Partnerships and have set a franchise high in Group Sales both seasons.
Originally from Allen, TX, Meadows graduated from Allen High School and went on to receive his B.S. in Sports Management with a minor in Marketing from Oklahoma State University.
“I am personally excited for the direction the Ports are headed and couldn’t be happier for the opportunity to lead this organization,” said Meadows. “With our unmatched facility, first-class staff, and amazing fans, the Ports are in a great position for years to come.”
