A big upgrade for Johannes Stadium, home of the Green Bay Bullfrogs (summer collegiate; Northwoods League), for the 2015 season: the addition of interactive accessible seating, complete with iPads and more.
The new seating will be located in front of sections 104 and 107.
Fans purchasing tickets in this area will also be able to check out iPads with headphones to enjoy the game webcast and order concessions. Additionally, second-year Field Manager Darrell “Skip” Handelsman will be available to these fans to answer questions during a mid-inning Q&A session. These tickets are $8 and can be purchased over the phone at 920/497-7225 or at Joannes Stadium Ticket Booth.
The addition was done in conjunction with the Northwoods League Foundation, which in 2014 helped fund wheelchair accessible seating at Witter Field, home of the Wisconsin Rapid Rafters. The Northwoods League Foundation is a 501(c)(3) with a main mission of supporting local charities and fund projects to support baseball communities.
“We are very excited to partner with the NWL foundation to provide this new seating venue,” said Bullfrogs GM Liz Kern. “This is a great enhancement to the ballpark experience.”
“This is our second venture into Interactive Handicapped Accessible Seating in the Northwoods League,” said NWL President Dick Radatz, Jr. “I applaud Liz and her staff for her foresight integrating this venue into Joannes Stadium and can’t wait to visit and view it this summer.”
