Nice honor for a good guy: Winnipeg Goldeyes general manager Andrew Collier has been named the 2014 American Association Executive of the Year.
Under Collier’s guidance, the Goldeyes once again led American Association teams with a total attendance of 258,429 and average attendance of 5,618. The Goldeyes also hosted a very successful two-day American Association All-Star event at Shaw Park in July.
Since joining the American Association for the 2011 season, the Goldeyes have won back-to-back-to-back organization of the year awards with Collier at the helm.
This is the sixth time Collier has been named a league’s executive of the year. He won the Northern League’s Executive of the Year award in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2009.
