Another attendance record to note: the Spokane Indians (short season A; Northwest League) set season and per-game attendance records after a big crowd at Avista Stadium.
With a crowd of 7,072 fans at Avista Stadium, the largest crowd of the season, the Indians broke two team attendance records. The Indians welcomed 193,865 fans through the gates throughout 37 games this season, breaking the overall attendance record originally set in 2007. Spokane also broke another all-time record by averaging 5,240 fans to each game, the highest total in the team’s 112-year history.
