Growlers, Bell’s Brewery strike ballpark deal

Kalamazoo Growlers

Well, this certainly is a natural: the Kalamazoo Growlers (summer collegiate; Northwoods League) and local brewery Bell’s have struck a deal to offer the high-end suds at Stryker Field.

There’s also a pun involved with the natural partnership: besides being a bear, a growler is also a beer container.

“We are thrilled to partner with a staple of the Kalamazoo community such as Bell’s. It’s another big piece to the puzzle in bringing our fans the best atmosphere possible at Growlers baseball games,” said Growlers President Brian Colopy.

In addition to Bell’s beers being available at the ballpark, fans can also look forward to Craft Beer Tuesdays, a new weekly theme for the Growlers. Fans will now be able to enjoy discounted Bell’s beers every Tuesday night the Growlers are in town. Furthermore, the Growlers and Bell’s Brewery will celebrate every home-run struck by the hometown team by “ringing the Bell’s bell,” which will allow fans to purchase half-off Bell’s beers for the duration of that current inning.

Bell’s Brewery has also claimed rights over a new branded area of the ballpark, entitled the Bell’s Bear Cave. Located down the right-field line, this indoor/outdoor suite will provide fans with the ultimate location to host parties, business meetings, special events, and more. Access to this exceptional area includes a premium ballpark buffet and a variety of Bell’s Brewery beers.
