Fraser Field is always worth a visit, and adding an event like this sweetens the pot: the North Shore Navigators are hosting the 2015 Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL) All-Star Game.
General Manager Bill Terlecky made the announcement this afternoon.
“The Navigators are proud to represent Lynn and the North Shore,” said Terlecky. “We are ready to invite the rest of the league, major league scouts, and star collegiate players from around the country to town for the marquee event of the Futures League season. It is always an honor to be able to showcase our city and show them everything Lynn has to offer by hosting your colleagues in your ballpark for a night of baseball and fun—NAVS style!”
Fraser Field turns 75 years old this summer, so the timing of the event is perfect. Last season the FCBL All-Star Game was held at Campanelli Stadium in Brockton and had nearly 2,800 people in attendance.
As a bonus: Zooperstars! Can’t really go wrong with Zooperstars at an All-Star Game.
“We’re looking forward to bringing our summer showcase to the great city of Lynn,” said FCBL Commissioner Chris Hall. “Pat Salvi and Bill Terlecky will put on a first-class event, not just for the league but also for the city of Lynn. They will make us proud as they have since first joining the league.”
