On Friday Ballpark Digest hit an important milestone for the second year in a row: we reached 10 million page views in a single year.
Now, there are lots of Websites who hit that number in a day; back when I was executive editor at internet.com, we did 13 million or so page views a day. And this was back in 2000. So this milestone, as it were, must be taken with a huge grain of salt.
Still, considering Ballpark Digest is a niche site devoted to the baseball industry, 10 million page views is a pretty cool accomplishment. There are other metrics we use internally to measure success — the 50K in monthly uniques is perhaps more important — but we’ll certainly take the 10 million page views. Thanks to each and every one of you for your patronage and support.–Kevin Reichard
