Sox to auction off notorious mascot for charity

Amarillo Sox mascot

Brilliant! The Amarillo Sox (independent; American Association) are auctioning off their arousing, excited mascot on eBay, raising money for local charities.

As you’ll recall, the mascot made an immediate impression on the local fans during his June 24 debut. He didn’t last an entire game before being pulled by GM Mark Lee.

The auction can be found at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230673203825 and will end at approximately 11:00am central time on September 25.

The starting bid for the costume will be $5,000 with the auction expiring on September 25 unless the “Buy It Now” price of $25,000 is paid for before hand.  Shipping is free.

Charities will be chosen by the Amarillo Sox and will be presented at a later date.
