The Sioux City Explorers (independent; American Association) announced a major upgrade to the team’s front office today with the hiring of Matt Adamski as club president.
He joins GM Shane Tritz and Assistant GM Ashley Schoenrock as part of the front-office staff. His focus for the team will be enhancing non-baseball operations revenue and community involvement.
“he Sioux City Explorers have such an incredible reputation as a great organization,” Adamski said. “My goal is to do everything I can to get more people involved as partners and, more importantly, as fans so they can experience the strong tradition for themselves”
Having spent over five years in municipal government and almost nine years in the fair and festival business, Adamski brings a variety of experience to the team in their efforts to enhance the fan experience at Lewis and Clark Park. He has worked for the City of Vermillion, S.D.; the City of Dell Rapids, S.D.; the Sioux Empire Fair; and, most recently, the Buffalo Chip Campground in Sturgis, S.D.
“Matt has a diverse background and he will put the skills he has developed in government and entertainment to work for us right away,” said team owner John Roost. “We expect to see new ideas for promotions and off-date entertainment options at the Park very soon.”
