The three-millionth fan in Lake County Captains (Low Class A; Midwest League) history is expected to cross the turnstiles at Classic Park before Wednesday night’s game.
The Captains’ first season was 2003 after moving from Columbus, Ga. The team hit the one million mark in 2005 and the two millionth fan was honored in 2008.
The three millionth fan will receive a variety of prizes including a $300 Captains gift card, a $300 donation in their name to their favorite charity, and will be upgraded to a luxury suite for the night. The lucky fan will throw out a ceremonial first pitch, appear on the Captains radio pre-game show and receive a behind-the-scenes tour of Classic Park.
The Captains will also offer a $3 price for any bottled or draft beer purchased from the 3rd inning to the 5th inning.
