The Seacoast Mavericks (summer collegiate; Futures Collegiate Baseball League) didn’t waste any time setting up their 2012 season, naming Joel LaVallee as the team’s new general manager.
He replaces Sean Evans, who will stay with the team and focus on player personnel. “A major responsibility of our GM has to be on the fund raising and sponsorship side of the business,” said Mavericks Director of Baseball Operations Mike Daboul. “Joel has proven his abilities time and time again throughout our first year.”
“I am thankful to be a member of an organization that has the experience and knowledge to succeed on the field, but also within the community,” LaVallee said. “The Seacoast Mavericks have demonstrated they are committed to operating a successful FCBL franchise in Rochester and the Seacoast region and I am looking forward to being a part of the plan to reach that goal.”
