The Bellingham Bells (summer collegiate; West Coast League) unveiled a new logo, uniforms and mascot last night, as the team preps for a name-the-mascot contest.
The new look was unveiled before the Bellingham Boys & Girls Club.
“We are very excited about our team’s new look and we greatly appreciate all of the positive feedback that we have received from members of the community,” said Bells general manager Blake Buswell. “Kids and adults alike expressed a lot of support and excitement for how the team will look on the field this coming summer.”
The Bells’ new look was developed in conjunction with Dan Simon of Studio Simon. Studio Simon has been responsible for creating over 100 sports team logos for professional, collegiate and amateur teams throughout the country.
“We invested a lot of time, energy and effort in creating our team’s new identity,” said Bells’ team owner Eddie Poplawski. “We were searching for a look and feel that bridged the team’s, and the region’s, rich baseball traditions with the energy and excitement we hope to instill in the franchise for years to come.”
