The Tennessee Smokies (Class AA; Southern League) are commemorating 100 years of baseball in Knoxville — begun with the inception of the Knoxville Appalachians — with a $1 ticket promotion set for Opening Day.
For just 100 cents fans can purchase a $10 ticket for the April 13 opener. The deal will run for only 100 hours, beginning on the Smokies website at 1 p.m. this Sunday, ending at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
