ValleyCats poised to break attendance record

Tri-City ValleyCatsThe Tri-City ValleyCats (short season A; NY-Penn League), in their ninth-season, will host their final homestand of the 2010 regular season on Saturday night at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium, and for the seventh consecutive year, the ‘Cats will once again break their single season attendance record. It will take 7,809 fans to break their all-time record of 145,976, and barring any rainouts, this number should be broken on Sunday evening.

This comes on the heels of the ValleyCats looking to make their first postseason appearance since 2006, in which the ’Cats posted a 43-31 record and lost in the New York-Penn League Championship series to the Staten Island Yankees.
