It’s been a good year for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League): the team broke its team attendance record tonight after welcoming 5,426 fans through the gates Saturday night against Salt Lake.
The 305,168 fans to enter Security Service Field so far in 2010 surpass the previous record figure of 303,048 fans set back in 2008. The Sky Sox reached the record in just 63 openings and still have five more openings remaining in 2010 to add to the record total.
Monthly breakdown of attendance figures for the 2010 season:
- April – 21,178
- May – 64, 550
- June – 77,168
- July – 62,188
- August – 80,084 (through August 28)
