The Great Lakes Loons (Low Class A; Midwest League) will reach an impressive milestone tonight: the one-millionth fan will cross the turnstiles at Dow Diamond. To celebrate the occasion, the one-millionth fan will receive a diamond valued at over $5,000, courtesy of The Dow Chemical Company.
Once the one-millionth fan has officially passed through the gates, the team will commemorate the milestone with a pre-game ceremony that will look back at the first three seasons of Great Lakes Loons baseball and share the economic and charitable impact the Loons, the Michigan Baseball Foundation and Dow Diamond have had on the region.
The pre-game ceremony will be held on the field and will be open for all media to attend. Following the ceremony, there will be a question and answer media session held in the suite lobby at Dow Diamond.
