Rock Cats set attendance record

The New Britain Rock Cats set a franchise record for attendance over a three-day weekend series.
The New Britain Rock Cats (Class AA; Eastern League set a new three-game weekend attendance record this weekend when 22,004 patrons passed through the New Britain Stadium turnstiles to watch the Rock Cats do baseball battle with the Binghamton Mets.

The club's previous high for a 3-game home weekend match-up came just last year when 21,505 fans turned out between Friday, August 14 and Sunday, August 16 to see New Britain play Akron.

The three individual crowds this weekend were 7,605 (Friday night), 7,588 (Saturday night) and 6,811 (this afternoon). The average gathering this weekend at New Britain Stadium was 7,344.
