Not every affiliated league is in playoff mode; the Pioneer League is still in its regular season. This gives the Casper Ghosts a chance to break some attendance records.
The Casper Ghosts (rookie; Pioneer League) are within striking distance of the all-time attendance record for the organization.
"Right now we are at 50,605 fans for the season and the record is 57,023 so with a little luck we may be able to break it," says General Manager Mike Sandlerg. "Weather hasn’t always been our friend this season but the forecast is good and the fans have just been tremendous this year. Our final game of the year is always Fan Appreciation Day and it is traditionally one of our biggest nights, so we have a lot of hope that we can make it."
The Ghosts lost five games this season to rain and field conditions out of a 38-game home schedule. The Ghosts have been averaging 1,233 fans per game over 30 openings.
