The old girl looks great! Mark Cryan took in the grand reopening of venerable Durham Athletic Park over the weekend and sent back these photos of the classic ballpark. The steelwork is sandblasted and re-painted, there's new concrete walkways, the locker rooms and bathrooms are better than the ever were before, there are new box seats and new lights, and the playing surface looks fantastic. It looks like with MiLB's involvement and the need for a permanent home for North Carolina Central University's Division I baseball program, the City of Durham finally got it right.
