Giants, police to crack down on drunkenness at AT&T Park

After fans complained of too much public drunkenness and underage drinking at AT&T Park, the San Francisco Giants and the police announced several measures to combat both.
In all of our visits we’ve only seen two drunken fights at a ballpark — and both times the fights took place in the right-field SRO section of AT&T Park. In both cases, the police stepped in quickly to take the participants away from the game, and we assume the ballpark.

So we’re not surprised to see the San Francisco Giants and the local police department announce plans to step up patrols within the ballpark and do other things to combat drunkenness and underage drinking at the ballpark. There will be zero tolerance when underage drinking and possession are discovered, and patrols will be outside the ballpark as well.
