The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers and the Peoria Chiefs will play a Low Class A Midwest League game at Miller Park, home of the Milwaukee Brewers, on April 24.
For the Brewers, the decision to bring in the team’s new Low Class A affiliate makes sense: it lets both teams yet again advertise the new affiliation deal, it gives the team a nice promotional opportunity in the Fox Valley, and it fits an open date in the schedule. This will mark the third time the Brewers have hosted a Midwest League game at Miller Park.
"Through our partnership with the Timber Rattlers, the Border Battle will serve as a great opportunity for fans to see some of the Brewers’ younger prospects play in a Major League environment," said Brewers Executive Vice President – Business Operations Rick Schlesinger at a press conference announcing the game. "We’re proud to host a Midwest League game at Miller Park and to showcase the players who will play key roles in the future of the Brewers-Cubs rivalry."
