He was charged last month with two counts of felonious assault.
Castillo, a pitcher with the Chiefs, is charged with wildly throwing the ball into the stands during a 10-minute brawl between the teams on July 24, 2008. Castillo says he was trying to throw the ball into the dugout but missed. The fan was treated at a local hospital and then released.
Castillo’s attorney says he will plead not guilty.
