New Marlins Park Brew Hall on Tap

Biscayne Bay Brew Hall Marlins Park

The Miami Marlins will debut Biscayne Bay Brew Hall at Marlins Park in 2020, part of a new five-year partnership between the team and Biscayne Bay Brewing Company

Beginning in the 2020 season, the 3,000-square-foot brew hall will serve fans at its location in the atrium area near sections 15–16 on the Promenade Level. It will feature a bar and social seating, along with a video wall and performance space. Plenty of beer options will be available, of course, with fans also being able to purchase food from a menu of options. While open on game days, the Biscayne Bay Brew Hall will also be available for group events on a year-round basis. The brew hall will feature a large garage door wall, allowing it to also serve as an open-air space.

“Baseball is the social sport, and the new Biscayne Bay Brew Hall is the next enhancement in our lineup of unique and impactful programming at the ballpark as our organization continues its commitment to invest in the fan experience,” Miami Marlins CRO Adam Jones said in a press statement. “This partnership with a marquee local brewing company will give our fans a great social option at Marlins Park that will be a popular meeting space pre and postgame. We also love that this partnership enables our brand to be present throughout the market and in fans’ hands all around South Florida.”

While there are previous examples of the Marlins embracing craft beer at Marlins Park, the new partnership with Biscayne Bay comes with some unique elements. In addition to the branded space at the ballpark, the Marlins and Biscayne Bay are planning a signature Marlins-themed beer that will be available at the brew hall, plus retail locations at Marlins Park and around South Florida.

“We are thrilled the Marlins chose Biscayne Bay Brewing, a locally owned and independent craft brewery, to enhance their fan experience,” Jose Mallea, President of Biscayne Bay Brewing Company, said in a press statement. “Having a platform like Marlins Park to introduce Miamians to quality and locally made beer is an incredible opportunity. It clearly demonstrates the Marlins’ commitment to this community and we could not be more excited about the future of the team.”

The Biscayne Bay Brew Hall is slated to be ready by Opening Day on March 26. It represents the latest tweak to the fan experience at Marlins Park, as a new tiered social space in place of the home run sculpture in center field, a redesigned premium area, and revamped concessions options were among the improvements made prior to the 2019 season. Additional changes to Marlins Park for 2020 will address the playing conditions, as synthetic turf will be installed and outfield fences will be moved in.
