The Class AA Southern League has named Donna Musterer its new Director of Baseball Operations. In addition to serving as the primary media and public relations contact, Musterer will assist with various roles within the league, including marketing, special events, stats and record keeping, awards, and day-to-day operations.
“I am delighted to have Donna join our organization and expect that her previous skills and experience will be an asset to the league office and our ten clubs,” said Southern League President Lori Webb. “I look forward to merging our knowledge bases to continue to provide our members with the optimal service, guidance and assistance that they have come to expect.”
“I am excited to join the Southern League! I look forward to combining my analytic/project management skills, along with my baseball knowledge, in order to assist the Southern League Office and the individual teams,” said Musterer.
Musterer grew up in Ft. Walton Beach, FL and was a member of Ft. Walton Beach High School’s basketball and softball teams. She attended Lurleen B. Wallace St. Jr. College via a basketball scholarship.
Musterer is a graduate of the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL. She has a B.S. Degree in Systems Science, with a Minor in Communications/Broadcast Journalism. She has worked for 20+ years in many freelance roles in sports television production, primarily as an official statistician, for college and professional baseball, as well as football and basketball. She also has over 20 years experience as a business analyst/project manager.
Donna and her husband, Richard, have 11-year-old, twin boys. The Musterers are a devoted baseball family. Her husband, Richard, is an official scorer for the Atlanta Braves. Her sons have played baseball at East Marietta National Little League since T-ball. She is an active EMNLL Board Member, and has assisted Richard (Head Coach), coaching her sons’ baseball teams. They currently live in Roswell, GA.
