A personnel change of note: Rick Muntean is the new GM of the Nashua Silver Knights (summer collegiate; Futures League), as the baseball veteran replaces Ronnie Wallace in a move announced by team owner Drew Weber.
Muntean’s baseball resume is extensive and includes stops with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons (International League); Kansas City T-Bones (independent; then Northern League), St. Joseph Mustangs (summer collegiate; MINK League), which he founded; and original GM at the Bristol Blues (summer collegiate; Futures League). From the Nashua Telegraph:
“He’s got a lot of experience in baseball,” Weber said. “That’s something that will be very helpful for us.”.
“Number one, what I like to see is the stands full,” Muntean said. “It makes for a fun, fun night and perpetuates itself.
“My philosophy is selling tickets. When the stands are full, everybody’s happy… everything we do is going to be about the fan experience.”
