Storm Chasers go bold in 2015

New Omaha Storm Chasers videoboard

No, we’re not forgetting our MiLB friends today. Worth noting: The Omaha Storm Chasers (Class AAA; Pacific Coast League) announced several fan-friendly upgrades to Werner Park today.

Some of them we’ve already covered, such as the new videoboard. The installation from Daktronics gives the the Storm Chasers a state-of-the-art new display that will feature a 13HD pixel layout, a technology that will be featured by only select MLB teams this year. It will measure approximately 25 feet high by 45.5 feet wide, for a more than 50 percent increase in size over the previous display. It will provide excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility to appeal to every seat in the stadium while also incorporating industry-leading environmental protection.

For the kids and young at heart: a 6-Hole Mini-Golf Course has been added to the right-field concourse near the Hy-Vee Pavilion. Fans of all ages can enjoy a round of Mini-Golf for $3 per person, and Groups of 20 or more can take advantage of a discounted price of $2 per person.

Want to take a keepsake home with you after your trip to see the Back-to-Back Triple-A National Champions? Fans will have the opportunity to with a FREE Photo Booth available near the Centris Family Fun Zone. The Photo Booth is limited to two photos per group of fans.
