Angel Stadium to host World’s Largest History Lesson

Los Angeles Angels of AnaheimThe Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are shooting for another ballpark world record at Angel Stadium, this time for the best-attended history lesson.

This past season the Angels set a world record for the “largest gathering of people wearing costume masks,” as fans were presented with a complimentary Angels Wrestling Mask and asked to wear it for ten minutes.

Apparently one world record isn’t enough for the ambitious Angels front office. The team is expecting a crowd of over 20,000 third-graders at Angel Stadium this Tuesday. The educational program, The Gift of History, will teach students about the history of Orange County and include presentations from celebrities, elected officials and regional education leaders. Officials from the Guinness Book of World Records will also be on hand to certify the event as the largest history lesson ever to take place during a post-event press conference.
